Your Latter Will Be Greater - The Best Is Yet To Come

Posted on 14 December, 2018 at 23:45 Comments comments ()

"Instead of shame and dishonor you will inherit a double portion of prosperity and everlasting joy." Isaiah 61:7

Good morning my precious Brothas and Sistas,

I pray that you are feeling well and know that you are so wonderfully blessed by Him this morning. I woke up this morning with praise on my lips for all that He has done for me. There is none like Him. After going through a brief period of testing I believe that the Lord has something so wonderful in mind that if He were to let me in on it , it would absolutely blow my mind.

You know, Brothas and Sistas, our latter will always be greater than the mess of our past He has brought us out of. Martha Munizzi says it best when she says, " All things are possible, Your Latter Will be greater than your past. " Because of this great truth we should never allow the enemy to continue to bring up our past and beat down on us as though we will never amount to anything.

In spite of what the enemy is telling you, in spite of your former shame, in spite of all of your past and present mistakes, the best is yet to come. He is greater than any disappointment and will supernaturally use your past as a platform to promote you into a prosperous future. He is so wonderfully good like that.

Many of us go through life in a bowed down position because of the things that have happened in our lives. I just want to encourage you today that it does not matter what pit you have been delivered from God has promised to give you a double portion, a double inheritance for your former shame. Some of us have come from bowed down and broken situations. And sometimes it seems as though it is an utterly impossible task for us to overcome the shame and pain of years gone by and move beyond our past. But Jesus specializes in the broken, torn down, battered, ostracized, weary, and worn Brothas and Sistas. In fact, in every situation God has already orchestrated a way out. "No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it." I Corinthians 10:13 It was never meant for us to just stay there in a bowed down or broken state.

We must remember that God has allowed us to go through these situations to bring us to higher heights in Him. The key words are GO THROUGH. To go through means to continue firmly or obstinately to the end, to extend between two points or in a certain direction. The enemy would have us to believe that this is the way it will always be. So we just may as well lie down in defeat, never to rise again because it won't get any better. But Jesus says, "Forget about it, ain't nothing but a misdemeanor" Our labels from the past (sexual, verbal, physical, emotional abuse victim, whore monger, adulteress, liar, drug or sex addict, and alcoholic no longer define who we are now in Him. "Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended; but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forth unto those things which are before I press towards the mark for the prize of the high calling which is in Jesus Christ our Lord." Philippians 3:13 To press means to advance or carry on vigorously.

In other words, Jesus redeemed us and has given us wings to fly and to soar and vigorously advance above every situation be it our past or present. "Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired (exhausted of strength or energy; fatigued) or weary (physically or mentally fatigued exhausted in strength, endurance, vigor, or freshness) and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power (strength or force exerted or capable of being exerted; might) of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope (to have confidence; trust : to cherish a desire with anticipation to it's fulfillment) in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:28-31

We can most definitely fly above all of the plans that the enemy has intended for us and soar with wings of an eagle in the redemptive promises of the Most High God. We can make it, because our past bowed down and broken state was just a temporary layover (a stopping for a while in some place during a journey; short stop or break in a journey, usually imposed by scheduling requirements). He is taking us from point A to Point B and He has promised that it is going to be an awesome ride.  It is not meant for us to take a permanent hiades, but this is just a temporary diversion that has been scheduled by Satan for us and our Father is trying to get us to confirm firmly or obstinately to the end that He is the great I am and He is Alpha and Omega, that He is Jehovah and is ready, willing, and able to deliver us from it.

Just know beyond a shadow of a doubt, this seemingly impossible situation was strategically woven by God through the sand crystals of time so that we could see Him breathe unforeseen favor and possibility into man's impossibility.  "But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible." Matthew 19:26 He says, "Oh, I can take you to higher heights in me if you just put your spiritual seat belts on and hold on for the journey and just believe (to have firm faith, especially religious faith; to have faith, confidence, or trust).

This is no longer the time for you to walk around with your head bowed down in shame and disappointment because God has promised you a portion of prosperity (success,  to thrive, and flourish) and to have everlasting joy (a feeling of great pleasure and honor) instead of shame and dishonor for your past. Isaiah 61:7 We are ready for take off, and "If thou canst believe, all things are possible." Matt. 9:23 Just remember, in every situation we must view things through His eyes , the eyes of faith. He has given us wings of faith to soar (rise) above the muck and mire of our past, if we choose to do so by faith.

Knowing Him

http://youtu.be/YLgLd5PZJYE

Good morning Brothas and Sistas,

There is nothing that compares to knowing Christ. I am not just talking about a surface love, an I’ll say that I love you just to please you or get what I want out of you. I am talking about a deep desire and longing for an intimate relationship with Him, the Great Creator of all things, the Master of the universe Psalm 42 and Psalm 63. There is nothing like knowing Him.

The Greek word for knowing God is gnosko which means to know truth about Him, to know Him intimately. The Hebrew word for knowing God is YADA, which means to perceive Him, to understand Him, to conform to Him, to believe Him. The definition of YADA that I like the most is to see or experience Him, to recognize Him. To see means to know through firsthand experience, to consider to be. Matthew 5:8 says, “Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see (know through firsthand experience, consider to be, perceive) God.”

To experience means to have an encounter with. Wow, that ABSOLUTELY BLOWS MY MIND THAT WE CAN HAVE A FIRSTHAND ENCOUNTER WITH GOD. Paul says it better when he says, “that I may know Him in the power of His Resurrection.” I am not just talking about an eyewitness account but true intimacy with our King.

To know Him is the epitome of what our lives as Christians should exemplify. Out of our experience of knowing Him, creates within us an outpouring of praise and worship. Worship says, “I Love you so much, Lord you are my whole being, I present my very life and entire being to you not just because of what you do, but simply because of who YOU ARE.

Psalm 16:11 states, “In thy presence there is fullness of joy and at thy right hand there are pleasure forever more Psalm 16:11b . And I will say it again there is nothing like Knowing God!

“The difficulties of life do not have to be unbearable. It is the way we look at them - through faith or unbelief - that makes them seem so. We must be convinced that our Father is full of love for us and that He only permits trials to come our way for our own good.

Let us occupy ourselves entirely in knowing God. The more we know Him, the more we will desire to know Him. As love increases with knowledge, the more we know God, the more we will truly love Him. We will learn to love Him equally in times of distress or in times of great joy.”
― Brother Lawrence,  the Practice of the Presence of God

Prayer of Faith

Thank you Lord that we get to know You, The King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. You are so amazing and we love you. You desire for us to spend time with you and learn from you so that we may have your heart and do great exploits so that you may be glorified in the world. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

He Will Work It Out - He Is Our Constant Stay

"He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved." Psalm 62:2

Read Psalm 62

Good morning to my Confidence in Jesus Filled Brothas and Sistas,

In the midst of our goings and comings, our ups and downs, and life's challenges there is only one source that remains stable. When we hit rock bottom and the bottom is about to give out, the Lord is our constant stay. He helps calm our spirit and gives us a quiet peace and assurance that everything will be alright when we wait on Him. We can always count on Him to be our confidence (full trust; belief in the powers, trustworthiness, or reliability of a person (Jesus) regardless of what comes our way).

I love the confidence that David had in the Lord because he said,"Truly my soul silently (still; not inclined to speak; not talkative; refraining from speech) waits for God; From Him comes my salvation. " Psalm 62:1 David knew how to wait on Him. Brothas and Sistas, notice that David did not call on his friends, he just quietly spoke with the friend that sticks closer than a brother. David's heart was fixed. He was still. He did not run to everyone he could think of for counseling (psychiatrists, therapist or other counselors) for He consulted with the WONDERFUL COUNSELOR!!!!

David goes on to say, "He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved. Psalm 62:2 "Wow, He alone is my source of quiet strength, my stay or staying power, my stability. In other words He solidifies me; Michelle's definition. He fights all of my battles and no power or strength is able to overwhelm Him and because of His mighty power and strength He will never be shaken or moved by the taunting of our enemies. If God be for us, we need not fear what man can do to us.

I love the fact that eventhough David is LIVID with his enemies, he still decides to patiently wait on God. He goes on to say,"My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory; The rock of my strength. And my refuge, is in God. Trust in Him at all times, You people." Psalm 62: 5-8 That is Powerful!!!! Exodus 14:13 says, "Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day"

The Lord always, always fights on our behalf when we refuse to become unsettled, fearful, and anxious or try to do things in our own strength. The battle is already won on our behalf in the Spirit. We just have to sit back and calmly wait for the manifestation in the physical. He is just that powerful to take our enemies out not only on a temporary basis, but permanently as well!!!! He can do some real collateral damage on our behalf. We just need to stay in peace and trust HIM!!! There is that staying power that He gives us again. That is why David tells us to, "Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us."

I like the hymn that tells us "Now let us have a little talk with Jesus. Let us tell Him all about our troubles. He will hear our faintest cry. He will answer by and by. Now when you feel a little prayer wheel turning. And you know a little fire is burning. You will find a little talk with Jesus makes it right." He will make it alright, NOT MAN. Sometimes we just need to talk to Him. Even in the midst of the tauntings of the enemy we can have a little talk with Jesus and He will make it right (upright: being in accordance with what is just, good, or proper : conforming to facts or truth : correct) He is AWESOME like that!!!! If God can save my soul surely He can handle my light work!!!! I may as well leave everything else to His disposal knowing all shall turn to my salvation!!!!!!

"God has spoken once, Twice I have heard this; That power belongs to Him!!!" Psalm 62:11 This is why we confidently wait on the Lord. He will indeed fight for us if we allow Him to. He is our stay -source of quiet strength and stability!!!!! And He will work it out!!!! Praise Him!!!!

Smooches,

Secrets to Living Single

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will direct your paths." Proverbs 3:5,6

Good morning,

I am a single Christian woman that now desires more than anything to live for Him. Early on in my Christian walk I decided that I could no longer continue to live as a single woman, living outside of God's will, and paying the consequences. I prayed for a man and then when the Lord blessed me with a man, I put God second and began to put the man first. In the end I realized the man was not for me.

Once I entertained my flesh, I could not hear from God at all. I now realize that I have to wait for God's will. I almost married someone that God did not even have for me. Older people look at me and think something is wrong with me because I am not married yet. My mom even thinks that I will not get married because I am taking so long to get married. Her exact words are, "I guess I will never see my daughter walk down the isle." I realize that when there is a godly man at the right time that is the one He has for me and I need to wait on Him.

It is also hard for me when I need something done and I think to myself, " It would be good to have a man around." My female friends sure do not want to come over and help me fix things but I realize that God is still shaping and molding me for that just right mate. God is preparing me.

I decided that I would keep myself yoked up with other godly Christians. None of my friends are having sex outside of marriage. We also pray for one another. We have a real support system. Sistas, sometimes we can be so yoked up with the world that we tend to fall when we are not careful. I also keep myself around other married Christian women that hold me accountable. I am friends with Christian married couples that keep me grounded in what a godly mate should look like. My married friends  give me an example of what a Christian married life should look like. They give me godly insight on what to look for when I am approached.

It would be easy to find a worldly man. If I could settle and get a worldly man I would have been married by now. But I believe that it is a scheme of the enemy to make me believe that there are not enough godly men.  There are godly men out there. I realize that I want my husband  to be spiritual leader.

Now let me give you a piece of advice, please do not be alone in your home with a man. I now know through experience not to have a good looking or handsome man in my home alone. I know that it is easy to sin and I won't give sin an opportunity to happen as I did a long time ago.  I now know that even having a man come in and out of my house looks bad. I thought that I could live by God's standards without thinking about my flesh and how weak it is. But now I know that is not true.

God has a handsome man lined up just for me. But for now, I am a single Christian woman that is enjoying Jesus. Sistas, we have to stay encouraged, stay in prayer, and continue to keep family and Christian friends around us to encourage us in our singleness. Learn to be joyful, while being single.

Take care,

Sista Melissa

Who Do You Have On the Potter's Wheel

“Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I d do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:13, 14

Good morning Brothas and Sistas,

Who do you have on the Potter’s wheel today? Is it loved one, a co-worker, friend, or neighbor? Who is it that you have not forgiven today? What is it that if you could turn back the hands of time you would change the circumstances in your life in which someone that you have on the wheel was a participant in the thing that has you in a tizzy today? What (if only’s) do you fixate on daily? Can you wish your spouse into the person that YOU think that God should have created them to be? Can you wave your magic wand and wish your ADULT children back into their stage of innocence when they listened intently (LOL) to YOUR advice and more importantly held onto their virginity until they met that just right person to marry that YOU (not them) had been praying for them to meet while they were yet still in the cradle?

Brothas and Sistas, what about the child that has taken up permanent residency in your home, not by your choice of course, that plucks your last nerve and you wish to God that they would get a clue and do right and then by God’s grace, move the heck out of your house? Have you forgiven them? If only we could undo some of the mess that have become a hindrance in the permanent fabric of our lives , then our lives would seemingly, be so wonderful. Stop trippin. I am so sorry to tell you, it ain’t gonna happen! So you may as well stop wishin, stop regrettin, and stop hatin' on folks. What’s done is done. Let me say it again, IT IS A DONE DEAL!!!!

Don’t get this thing twisted. No matter how much we may want to change our circumstances, the truth of the matter is that we can’t change the past or people. And guess what God is still working it out for our ultimate good and His ultimate glory. (Rom. 8:28) We spend so much time dwelling on things in the past that we can’t properly focus on the future or better yet we can’t give way to our present day blessings because our focus is off. We just need to take a chill pill and stop stressin’ over things that we can’t do anything about. So what they made a mistake. Let it Goooooo!!!! Let it Goooooo!!!! We need to release some folk and take them off of the Potter’s wheel today and put them into the capable hands of Jesus. Trust me!!! He is bigger and bad enough to handle them. God is our vindicator. (Exodus 14:14)

And then we need to change, we need to be praying for ourselves to be continuously conformed to His likeness. We are not perfect ourselves. What gives us the right to place judgment on another one of God’s imperfect creations? We are not the judge of all creation, He is!!!!! Who do you have on the Potter’s wheel today? Make a commitment today to forgive and move on.
Amen.

Blessings

Sister Michelle

Prayer of Faith,

Dear Lord,

Help is to forgive daily. We want to move on from a place of bitterness so that our lives may be blessed. We know that in order to walk in your full blessings we must let go. Thank you for forgiving us when we mess up daily. We love you so much. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

True Love - Victim to Victor - Overcoming Rape By An Ex-Boyfriend

But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world” (1 John 4:4, NLT).

“And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them” (1 John 4:16, NIV).

Good morning Brothas and Sistas,

I can remember the night I heard some really bad news about something that happened to some people close to my daughter.  I was involved in a conversation with a loved one when they made this remark to me, “If you would have told somebody what he did to you, then they wouldn’t have had to go through that.” I could not stand the thought of him, the same one that had violated me years ago,  victimizing those little children.

The statement my cousin made that day broke me down to nothing.  I cried so hard for those children and when I was done crying for them, I cried for me too.  I remembered how I felt when I was the victim of sexual abuse and rape by that ex-boyfriend and felt helpless. He lived up the street from me and I was still friends with his sister. One night we all decided to meet up and go to the store. His sister suddenly changed her mind about going to the store with me . I made a poor judgment call and got into the car with him. We never made it to the store. He took me to a place called Lovers Lane, which at the time I knew nothing of such a place. He physically assaulted me and made me have sex with him.

This incident occurred a month before my open heart surgery. I ran to my front door after he brought me back to my house. The only thing I wanted to do was get a shower and feel clean. Believe it or not I had blocked this incident out of my mind. My open surgery was coming up soon and I had to deal with that first. I had a collapsed lung therefore it was life or death for me. I know it sounds crazy but being raped was the least of my problems at the time. I did not even know if I would be alive in thirty days. The only thing that brought the rape back to my memory was when I did not come on my cycle.

I was pregnant and did not even know it. Til this day, I know the only good thing that came out of that  cruel incident was my only child, my beautiful daughter. My cardiologist wanted me to get an abortion but I just couldn't do it. When I found out I was pregnant it was a lifesaver for me because it took the focus off of me and my illness.  During the surgery my heart stopped and I had to be on medication while I was pregnant. I believe the only reason why they wanted to abort my baby after surgery was because they thought I was going to sue them. At the time I did not want to report the rape because it would have been too much for me to deal with open heart surgery, pregnancy, and reporting my rape.

When I began to deal with the reality of what occurred I wept until my tears wouldn’t flow anymore and then I became angry when I realized that I was all alone and there seemed to be no one who could comfort me or help me get through it.  At the time, there was a brother in the church who was pursuing me.  He was married and kept trying to convince me that he wanted to leave his wife.  I didn’t buy into it because I had crossed that bridge before.  But at the time when I needed to be held the most no one was there, so I thought.

While I was in the midst of a breakdown God asked me a question “Who’s here?”  My thoughtless response was, “Nobody."  “That’s not true," He responded, “I’m here."  I didn’t understand what He meant.  But He told me to, “Shut down the house and go to bed."

It was only about 6:30 in the evening, but I immediately did what I was told and went to bed.  As soon as I laid my head down on my pillow, I felt what I can only describe as a warm heaviness envelope me, like a warm blanket had been wrapped around me.  My entire body relaxed and I took a deep breath and blew it out gently, and then I closed my eyes. When I opened my eyes again, I realized it was the following day because the sun had risen.  I don’t remember a thing after I closed my eyes.  I didn’t dream, I didn’t wake up for a potty break. I didn’t even roll over during the night. I just slept the most peaceful sleep ever.

When I realized God had given me a big hug, I began to thank Him for being there for me.  He reminded that, true love is always there for you and it always runs to you and not away from you.  So if a man tells you that he loves you with sentiment, but he is never available to show it with evidence, then he doesn’t love you.  Love always has the ability to prove itself.

There will be people in your life at certain times, especially the opposite sex swearing their undying love to you.  But ask yourself this, “Are they here for me when I need them the most or only when it’s convenient for them? And do they love me or lust me?"

Remember, “But you belong to God, my dear children.

Love ya,

Audrey

The Ultimate Sacrifice - Give Him All That You Have

"The disciples went and did as Jesus had instructed them. They brought the donkey and the colt and placed their cloaks on them for Jesus to sit on. A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road.  The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted, “Hosanna to the Son of David!”  “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Hosanna in the highest heaven!” When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred and asked, “Who is this?”  The crowds answered, “This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee.” Matthew 21:6-11

" Calling His disciples to Him, He said to them, "Truly I say to you, this poor widow put in more than all the contributors to the treasury; for they all put in out of their surplus, but she, out of her poverty, put in all she owned, all she had to live on." Mark 12:43, 44

"As Jesus looked up, he saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury. He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins. “Truly I tell you,” he said, “this poor widow has put in more than all the others. All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.” Luke 21:1-4

As we look at the story of the widow with two coins we see that days before Passover is on the way and for some reason this Passover is not like any other Passover. For you see not long ago Jesus, who proclaimed Himself to be the Messiah, had rode to Jerusalem on a donkey with crowds gathered around Him crying out, "Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!!! Hosanna in the highest!!!" Some of Jerusalem's finest, you know the high sidity folk, uh, let's just call them Pharisees, had a real issue with Jesus coming to town claiming that He was the long awaited one, the Messiah, the chosen one, anointed one, Savior of the Jews!!!! They were LIVID!!!! They did not like the fact that Jesus was getting all His props and people were worshiping Him and bowing down in His presence like any sane person would do when they actually knew that they were in the presence of Lord, Master, and King. But Jesus in boldness replied, "Do you not know that the very dust, particles, clay, and earth will get its' praise on if you don't allow these worshipers to do the very thing that they were born to do!!!!!"

It amazes me how those around us want us to remain silent when we have seen the very essence of Jesus come into our existence and show Himself and it is not longer the promise of Him but the very reality of Him standing before us in the midst of our situation and He simply liberates us to ignore what others would have us to do, the way they would have us to do it, and walk in obedience to what He would have us to do, the way He would have us to do it and Praise Him anyway. We have to Praise Him because true praise and worship cannot breathe, live, or exist in silence. I guess that's why one of the definitions of Messiah is liberator.  Liberator is defined as one who set free from oppression, confinement, foreign control or imprisonment. Jesus came to set the captives free!!!! He came to set us free from foreign control of others, uh, they would be called control freaks. He sets us free from self imprisonment when we allow what we or others think about us to keep us in bondage!!!!! He sets us free from oppression from the enemy when He wants to keep us bound with his lies. And He sets us free from confinement of praising Him with all that we have within when we recognize (acknowledge formally: as to admit Him as being Lord or sovereign) how very wonderfully good He has been and will be to us.

I feel so very sorry for the Pharisees because they would not embrace who Jesus truly was for to embrace who Jesus was would have meant that they would have to relinquish who they thought they were and come face to face with the reality of who they really were apart from His grace and mercy, in addition to embracing the true freedom that He came to give them including His grace and mercy. And to do that would have meant they would have to let go of themselves and all that they held onto, such as titles, positions, and their stuff. Hmmm. They wanted to stay right where they were and wanted everybody else to stay there with them. Sistas, misery loves company. And this is how it is with those around us who remember what and who we used to be. If we were a whore monger, an adulteress, a prostitute, a swindler or a liar, folk that knew us or knew of us in our BC days want to keep us right there. For they want to keep us in bondage of who we were instead of embracing who we are now even though we now full well know the truth of who He says we are.

The Pharisees could not even wrap their minds around Him being Messiah and hated the praise of those who did. Ladies, there are some people who will embrace what God has to say about you, who you are now, who you will become and your praise, but then there are those that simply want to keep you right where you were. The key is that we must not let them. Days later, Jesus sat near the temple and observed all that was going on. A midst all of those around Him He focused on this one woman. It is amazing to me how He takes notice of those of us that are seemingly unnoticeable or trivial in the eyes of mere man and ignores those of us that simply have to and want to be noticed. His focus is on us, the outcast and the seemingly downcast. We are the apple of His eye when all others seem to want to diss us He is there right there with us capturing every moment of who He says we are to Him. This woman was of profound faith for you see this woman literally gave her all. Mmmm. She gave all that she had to the one who proclaimed himself to be Jehovah Jireh, The Lord God Our Provider, El Shaddai, The More than Enough God,  The All Sufficient One. He is THE SUPPLY, but yet SHE GAVE HER ALL TO HIM!!!! Amazing!!!! This woman could have held on to it all in hopes that He would recognize her destitute state and show her pity but instead she knew that once she gave all of her substance to him, the thing(s) that she might have wanted to hold on to, He being the God that He was would do something even more wonderful with what she had left and replace the old with something so wonderfully new if she just trusted Him. Jesus saw her faithfulness and I believe that He blessed her for it.

Let's take a look at this profound statement He made after observing high sidity folk put their big, FAT offering in, prancing around the offering plate with their finest bling and rags from Jerusalem's House of Derion. This was Jesus version of lifestyles of the rich and famous cause they were LIVIN' LARGE and wanted everyone to know it. Jesus said to His disciples, "Truly I say to you, this poor widow put in more than all the contributors to the treasury; for they all put in out of their surplus, but she, out of her poverty, put in all she owned, all she had to live on." Mark 12:43, 44 As this woman walked around the offering table among Jerusalem's' elite she must have really gotten some of the craziest stares for she did not dress like them, she did not act like them, she was realer than real, and initially she had to feel just a little bit uncomfortable from who and what they perceived her to be but that did not stop her. Hmmm. Sometimes we walk around living on, believing on, and merely existing on all that we think we have to live on, what we see, what we perceive to be true, what someone else have told us that we have and what someone else says that we are. Even though everyone else around this woman walked in judgment of anyone else that was not like them and did not have what they had she marched on for she knew that in doing so she would receive peace within herself after she obeyed the promptings of the holy Spirit to let it all go.

And this it how it is for us as Sistas all we have needs to be released so that we can embrace the greater promise of who we are now, what we now have, what He has said IS TO COME. We must forfeit who we used to be (the old). Ladies, let me tell you something I USED TO BE, USED TO BE, USED TO BE a whore monger, an adulteress, a liar before I came to Him but a I am no longer that. Praise Jesus!!!! I now perceive myself to be a daughter of the Most High God, a princess to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. I am beautiful not because of any conceit within myself but because He says that I am beautiful. "Let the king be enthralled by your beauty; honor him, for he is your lord. Psalm 45:11 He is captivated, fascinated, spellbound by my beauty, the beauty that He gave me when He saved me. And He feels the same way about you. Now Sistas, that right there is something to stand tall and shout about. I believe that I AM who God says that I am, I no longer believe the lies of my childhood and my wayward youth that I am a slut, w----, or -----. I am not those things I was once told I was in my childhood and neither are you. You are not who folk perceive you to be. I refuse for others to make me buy into the lie from Satan, family members, and all of Christendoms sidity folk that I am currently those things and neither should YOU.

Give Him all of your stuff that so easily besets you and live in the new of who HE says that you are in the years to come. Praise HIM anyway in the presence of those that see your greatness and because of all that He has done for you, brought you out of. Praise him in front of all of those that want to keep you in your past and by His grace will never do so. Now worship Him like you have never done before because He is so very, very good like that! Praise Him!

How Are You Livin'

"Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that pe
rson gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted." Galatians 6:1

Good morning,

Brothas and Sistas, we live in a world full of compromise. In an attempt to live this Christian life as He would have us to there are times when we sin. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus." Romans 3:23 I am so grateful today that we have been justified (demonstrated or proven to be just, to be made right, or made valid) because He has demonstrated through His great love for us in dying on the cross that He has now made us right. We are in right standing with the Father because of Him. Yet sin can be so subtle that there are times when we don't even realize that we have succumb to it until after the fact. "As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter." Romans 8:36

Even some of us that consider ourselves to be spiritual Christians will sometimes miss the mark. But I am so glad today that the next scripture gives us the victory and we can be triumphant over that sin that so easily beset us. (Hebrews 12:1) Romans 8:37 says,  "Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us." Now once we have sinned this is not the time to beat ourselves down. "Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death." Romans 8:1, 2

Brothas and Sistas, once we have fallen short we should not fall prey to disparity, for we have been set free. We simply need to recognize that God has set about this appointed time for us to go to Him to gain wisdom from the lesson that He is trying to teach us. He is a loving Father and always, always wants to impart wisdom to His children. "If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you." James 1:5  We must remember that even our mistakes are a teachable moment with God.

There may be an area that we may need to experience spiritual growth and God has allowed the test to come to get our attention. These are  times, my Brothas and Sistas, where we need to be transparent enough to go to Jesus first and if He leads us to do so go to a trusted friend to confess our shortcomings so that He may bring healing and restoration to our soul and spirit. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." I John 1:9

The first step to healing is acceptance and confession. There is no need to lie about it, deny it, or try to cover it up. "If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us." I John 1:10 God wants to use deliverance from our shortcomings for His glory and to help bring another Brotha or Sista out of the miry clay that may be experiencing some difficulties in the same area. Nothing is void of being used as a teachable moment by Him. This is why we so desperately need each other because if the truth be told we don't always get this thing right.

Brothas and Sistas, I need you and you need me to come along side of each other and help one another on this Christian journey. And guess what? I am not so concerned about beating you down about your sin as I am about helping you come up out of it. And if you see or hear me or another Brotha or Sista doing or saying something wrong , first pray about it and once God has given you the go ahead don't let me or another Brotha or Sista fall by the wayside. Please have enough guts or Holy Ghost gumption, love, and compassion to throw a rope and help get a Brotha or Sista out of the pit because I would do the same for you.

So I ask you Brothas and Sistas "How Are You Livin?" Accountability is so desperately needed among us as Sistas. Please do what He has so graciously called us to do. "If a Brotha or Sista be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted" Galatians 6:1 Amen!

Blessings,

Michelle

Prayer of Faith

Lord, we thank you and praise you for loving us so much that you have given us the gift of accountability within the body. May we be humble enough to allow our Brothas and Sistas to lovingly hold us accountable especially when we are tempted by sin. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Under Construction

"Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Christ." Phil 1:6

Good morning Brothas and Sistas,

You  ever had a moment when you wished that you acted or looked like someone else in our appearance or personality. Some of us get so frustrated when we see very little change or spiritual growth in not only our lives but in the lives of others. And if the truth be told there is very little that we can change about ourselves or others without Jesus, the great architect having a hand in the construction process. We are a work in progress. We are all under construction! Amen

If you have noticed with any construction project it takes times for the finished project to be revealed. Therefore, we need to patient with not only ourselves but with others long enough to pardon the mess that we may see in ourselves and others during construction project. We need to have confidence that the same God who created the universe, who spoke things into existence, and who just merely breathed and mankind was brought about has the most awesome ability to make us into the masterpiece that He would have us to be. He is just that phenomenal.

Brothas and Sistas, it is not our business to be frustrated about the make up of any of His creations including ourselves. He is Elohim, God our Creator. This is why we need to walk in the confidence that in spite of what the world says He did not make any junk. Just like with any parent that adores the child that was created from their loins in spite of some imperfections He adores us, His children birthed from the loins of His spirit. We are fearfully and wonderfully made by Him. Psalm 139

I'm so glad He loves us regardless of our less than perfect 10 status. We need to be confident (marked by assurance, very bold; presumptuous. trustful) of this very fact. Scripture says, "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Christ." Phil 1:6 We must trust Him and walk in the assurance placed in His word that we are His workmanship, specifically designed by Him, the Master of the Universe. Amen!

Lovingly Submitted,

Sista Michelle

Prayer of Faith

Thank you Lord that we do not have to be perfect to receive your great love and care. Thank you Lord that you are still working on us inside and out making us more and more like you each day. Give us the confidence that we need to walk in this assurance daily. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

"Is He Your Undying Quest? - Become Absorbed With Him"

"But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul." Deuteronomy 4:29

"I believe we must seek God's will, never presuming to identify it with our own program or power."  David E. Price quotes

Good morning to my Jesus filled Brothas and Sistas,

Brothas and Sistas, peple often are in search of so many things. Things that we surmise will bring us love, happiness, joy, or peace. We look in hopes of finding that one thing that will give us the answers to all that plague our weary little minds. The world looks to the psychic hot line, palm readers, and advice columns. Some look to Allah, Buddha, and Mohammed for answers. On the other hand the modern day Christian may seek answers from their Pastor, local Priest, and so called prophet. All of this seeking sometimes still leaves them void of understanding in regard to those things that still resonate questions.

Brothas and Sistas,  I submit to you that there is only one that can give answers to all of life's inquiries that we battle with from day to day. There is only one place that we can find peace from all yesterdays, todays, and tomorrows queries thrown our way. And that place is in the presence of the one called Jehovah.

I marvel at the story of Anna who spent 60 years in the temple looking for the answer to all of life's woes. As a matter of fact, scripture says that she never left the temple. She worshiped day and night, fasting, and praying. (Luke 2:37) You know sometimes we have to purposely turn our plates down just to get that one thing that we have been waiting on from Him.

This woman was determined to get in touch with the one thing that she went seeking for. I propose to you that Anna had to have been a prayer warrior. She was a woman on a mission. Nothing could dissuade her determination. Years could not deter her. The sand crystals falling from the hour glass of time did not move her. Wrinkles, arthritis, a deteriorating body, and all the pains that come with old age rapidly creeping up on her did not keep her from bowing in the presence of what was to come.

Anna was on a quest for something larger than life itself. Her mere existence banked on that one thing. Quest is defined as the act or an instance of seeking or pursuing something; a search. Jesus had become her ecstasy (state of emotion so intense that one is carried beyond rational thought and self-control). You see Anna was void of all rational thought. After all who in their right mind would spend 60 years in the temple worshiping day and night, fasting and praying for something that was not yet physically tangible. One could surmise that Anna had lost her ever loving mind.

Jesus wants us to lose our natural mind, our fleshly point of view to Him. And in doing so nothing that we do will make sense to ones human reasoning. He wants us to gain His birds eye view of things. He desires for us to remain in close proximity with Him in the temple of His immediate surroundings and vicinity. He wants us to pursue Him with an undying passion so that we can find the answers to all life's queries that plague us. We simply have to become absorbed with Him.

Anna became so absorbed with Him to the point that one day her answer finally came. One day Anna looked up and He was right there. Brothas and Sistas, just like Anna we need to be on a relentless search for Him. When we become overwhelmed with His presence and He becomes our source of ecstasy we will no longer search or seek answers elsewhere.

"Rose early to seek God and found Him whom my soul loveth. Who would not rise early to meet such company?" Robert Murray Mccheyne

Brothas and Sistas, allow Him to become your undying quest. He's right there. Praise Him!

Lovingly submitted,

Sista Michelle

Dear Lord,

More than anyone else or anything else we must crave you and your will. There is nothing or no one more important than you. Nothing or no one should ever take precedence over spending time in your presence. Help us to want you more than anything. May you become our undying quest. In Jesus name we pray. Amen
