We Were Never Meant To Lose - Victory Already Won Praise

"And now shall mine head be lifted up above my enemies round about me:therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the Lord." Psalm 27:6

Good morning to my triumphant Brothas and Sistas,

I am reminded of the times when my family and I have either attended or watched various sporting events and how the home team will most often resort to tactics that will get the opposing team to lose focus and ultimately lose the game. I am reminded of how right in the middle of a game still in the process of being played of how the home team will begin to sing the victory chant.

OK Brothas and Sistas, what's up with that? Didn't they read the scoreboard? Don't they know that the game is still in session, the whistle has not been blown, and the bleachers are still full? Well, somebody must have told them that the best way to be victorious is to know in advance that the game has already been won and to walk in victory before the game is over. In other words, the home team can sing the victory chant because they have the home field advantage.

For you see they know the field because they have practiced so many times on that field that they know it like the back of their hands. Their coach have worked with them on team plays so often that they know the play book so much until it now has become a part of them. And this is how we should always be as Saints of God. We should know that since our coach daddy, God the Father, owns the earth, the fullness thereof, and all that dwells within it and since WE are His kids then we in turn have the home field advantage. When we are at practice (in His presence) and He begins to share the plays from the play book (the word of God) with us that we now have become prepared for the battle and ultimately are prepared for the victory. This in turn should make us want to sing the victory chant (praises unto our God) while we are in the heat of the battle.

David knew this all to well when he was in the midst of the battle and he said, "And now shall mine head be lifted up above my enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the Lord." Psalm 27:6 Woo, David had enough sense to know that he had it like that and because of the excellent coachings of his Daddy he had already won the battle. That is why He said right there in the midst of the mess that he was in, "And now shall my head be lifted up above my enemies." David is hilarious because he reminds me of one of those spoiled little annoying kids that taunt you with the "Na na, nanna, na, na. I am going to go tell my daddy and you gonna get it. You just wait and see." You see, just like that spoiled little kid, David was already singing his victory chant when he continued with "therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the Lord."

I'm just sayin, since David knew who his coach, Daddy, was he trusted in His coaching skills, studied the play book, got his victory chant on, and was prepared for battle of which the victory had already been won. Psalm 24:8 says, "Who is the King of glory? the Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle." He is just powerful like that!!!! You know back in the day we would whoop somebody's butt if they messed with one of our kids. It was ON!!! Well, He is willing and able to fight each one of his kids battles and whoop somebody's butt on our behalf just like a loving daddy would. We don't have to lift a finger in defense because he is our DEFENSE in the game of life!!!!! He is Jehovah Nissi, the Lord Our Banner!!!

Brothas and Sistas, Psalm 150 reminds us that we need to praise Him wherever, whenever, however we get the chance to, with whatever we have even if it is in the heat of the battle. Psalm 147:1 says, "Praise ye the Lord: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely (fitting, proper)." In other words praise is the fitting and proper thing for us to do as Christians no matter what comes our way. Psalm 33:1 reminds us of that same thing but vs.9 stands out in particular because it says," For he spoke and it was done (having been carried out or accomplished; finished: a done deed) he commanded and it stood fast."

That right there is powerful. I'm just sayin' that He is just that awesome that His mere words make us triumphant and it is done, finished and accomplished, the victory is already won y'all because He said so. We were never meant to lose! Brothas and Sistas, we can have victory already won praise! Don't wait til the battle is over when you can shout now! Praise Him!!!!

Have a blessed, victorious day,

Michelle

Prayer of Faith

Dear Lord,

Thank you for the victories already won in our lives. May we never walk in defeat knowing that you have declared us victorious in every situation. We walk in full awareness that Satan is a defeated foe. We win! Praise Your name. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
